Dr. Chi Kang Gooi MBBS, FRACS, Orthopaedic surgeon
Dr Gooi specialises in disorders of the foot and ankle, hip and knee arthroplasty and general orthopaedic trauma.
He graduated from the University of Adelaide and completed his orthopaedic surgery training in Adelaide.
Following completion of orthopaedic training in Adelaide, Dr Gooi took up a Fellowship in Foot and Ankle Surgery in Bristol, UK. He worked with several foot and ankle surgeons including Dr Ian Winson who was the president of the European Foot and Ankle Society. Following this, Dr Gooi went to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge and completed a Fellowship in Hip and Knee Arthroscopy and Arthroplasty. Dr Gooi returned to Adelaide and commenced working as an orthopaedic surgeon in 2009.
Dr Gooi is a Senior Visiting Orthopaedic Specialist at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. He is a consultant at the Complex Foot and Ankle Clinic.
Dr Gooi is married with two children. In his spare time, he enjoys bike riding and watching Aussie rules football.
