Dr Nitesh Rao is a Consultant Nephrologist. He was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of physicians (FRACP) in 2013. Nitesh undertook his basic physician at the Lyell McEwin Hospital followed by advanced training in Nephrology at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and Flinders Medical Centre. Nitesh has been working as a staff specialist at the Lyell McEwin hospital and Flinders Medical Centre. He is affiliated with the Central Northern Adelaide Renal and Transplantation Service based at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and also conducts clinics at the Northern Cardiology Specialists Suites (Calvary Central Districts Hospital) and Riverland General Hospital, Berri. Nitesh enjoys teaching both medical students and doctors in training. He is a Clinical Senior Lecturer in the department of medicine at the University of Adelaide. He continues to be actively involved in research and is currently completing a Masters in Medicine with the University of Adelaide. He has publications in peer-reviewed international journals. Nitesh is a general nephrologist and has clinical expertise in chronic kidney disease & diabetic nephropathy, management of renal anaemia and bone disease, hypertension, haemodialysis & peritoneal dialysis, and kidney transplantation.
